CSUN Women’s Basketball Dominates Bethesda University with Record 103-13 Season Opener
CSUN Women’s Basketball launched their 2025–26 season with an extraordinary performance, overpowering Bethesda University 103–13. The season opener took place on Tuesday night at the Premier America Credit Union Arena.
Historic Victory for CSUN
This match set a new record for the largest victory margin in CSUN’s program history, surpassing the previous record established in 1977 by 90 points. The Matadors showcased remarkable skill and teamwork during the game.

Eleven players contributed to the scoring, highlighting the depth of the team. Notably, CSUN dominated the first half, heading into halftime with a substantial lead of 52–0.

In contrast, Bethesda University struggled significantly, managing only 9% shooting accuracy. They completed just four field goals out of 44 attempts, making it a challenging game.

In her Matador debut, Jite Gbemuotor impressed by leading the team with 16 rebounds, enhancing their presence in the paint. In total, twelve players scored in this season opener, showcasing a strong team effort.
