Library Hours and Locations in Worthington
The Nobles County Library, located at 1106 Third Ave., Worthington, welcomes visitors from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Please note that the library remains closed on weekends. In addition, the Children’s Library, situated at 206 11th St., offers convenient hours: open from noon to 5:30 p.m. on Mondays and Tuesdays, 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Wednesdays and Thursdays, and 9 a.m. to noon on Fridays. Like its counterpart, it is closed on Saturdays and Sundays.
Explore the Adrian Branch Library
The Adrian Branch Library, located at 214 Maine Ave., is open to the public from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. On Fridays, hours are from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and on Saturdays, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Please note, the library remains closed on Wednesdays.
Donation Policies and Access Information
Currently, the Nobles County Libraries in Worthington and Adrian are not accepting any item donations. Visitors are requested not to leave donations outside the premises or in the book drops. If you are visiting the Nobles County Library in Worthington, please use the entrance on the south side of the Southwestern Minnesota Opportunity Council building, closest to 11th Street.
Engaging Events and Programs for All Ages
- Friends of the Library Book Club: Join the engaging discussion at 6 p.m., Oct. 27, at the Elks Lodge, 1105 Second Ave. This month’s book is “All My Rage” by Sabaa Tahir.
- After School Programs: Parents can register children by contacting the Children’s Department at (507) 295-5346. Here’s a quick overview of the weekly schedule:
- Wii U Gaming for grades 4 and up: Mondays, 3:15 to 5 p.m.
- Kids Club for grades K-5: Tuesdays and Thursdays, 3:30 to 5 p.m.
- Story Time for toddlers to preschoolers: Wednesdays, 10 to 11 a.m.
- Just Gurlz for girls grades 5 and up: Wednesdays, 3:15 to 5 p.m.
Please ensure children are picked up by 5:15 p.m.
- Story Time: Every Tuesday at 10:15 a.m. for ages up to 5.
- Art Club: Attend the session at 5:30 p.m., Oct. 27, at Ecumen Meadows, 1801 College Way, second floor in the activity room. This month’s theme is ‘dreams.’ There is no cost, and everyone is welcome to attend.
