Starbucks’ Strategic Changes: Store Closures and Job Reductions
In tandem with its new product rollout, Starbucks has announced a significant restructuring effort involving the closure of over 400 underperforming locations and the reduction of approximately 900 jobs. CEO Brian Niccol noted that this difficult decision was made to optimize the physical environment for both customers and partners. Affected employees are being provided with transfer opportunities or severance packages as the company seeks to streamline operations.
