Indianapolis Colts: Dan Orlovsky Reflects on His Memorable Season and Insights on the Current Team

Dan Orlovsky Shares Insights on the Indianapolis Colts

Former Indianapolis Colts quarterback and current ESPN NFL analyst Dan Orlovsky recently appeared on Countdown to Kickoff as a celebrity guest. Although he played only one season with the Colts, Orlovsky expressed admiration for the organization and the chance to build connections with key figures, including his idol, Peyton Manning.

Building a Bond with Peyton Manning

“I loved it,” Orlovsky shared. “My personality fits the Midwest ethos more than the Northeast. Growing up in the ’90s, Peyton Manning was an idol. I had ESPN magazine cutouts of him all over my wall. It was surreal to have the opportunity to be around him, strike up a small friendship, and play alongside legends like Reggie Wayne, Jeff Saturday, and Dallas Clark. I admired them during college football, thinking they were the best in the world. It’s a special organization in Indy, and I wish we had won a few more games.”

Orlovsky’s Optimism for the Colts’ Future

Orlovsky also shared his belief in the current Colts team. “I think there are a lot of traits and elements needed for success in 2025, especially offensively. This team is built for a good run.”

A Look Back at Orlovsky’s NFL Career

During his seven-season NFL career, Orlovsky played for teams including the Detroit Lions, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Indianapolis Colts, and Houston Texans. His 2011 season with the Colts saw him playing eight games, starting in five, passing for 1,201 yards, six touchdowns, and four interceptions.

Colts Aim for a Strong Start Against the Rams

The Colts are gearing up to start the season 4-0 as they prepare to face the Los Angeles Rams. The game is scheduled for Sunday with kickoff at 4:05 p.m.
