New WWII Horror Film Embarks on Global Sales Campaign

UK-based sales firm Architect has kickstarted the global sales for the upcoming creature horror film, “Dogs of War,” ahead of the American Film Market (AFM) next month. Directed by Kiah Roache-Turner, the film is set in the treacherous backdrop of WWII and draws inspiration from actual events.

Plot Overview: Commandos and Creatures in a Nazi-Occupied Forest

“Dogs of War” throws a squad of elite British commandos into the harsh winters of the Eastern Front during WWII. Their mission? To deliver a crucial secret weapon to their allies. However, they soon find themselves face-to-face with horrors beyond the Nazis, forming an uneasy alliance with a legendary sniper known as Lady Death to survive the chilling encounters in the forest.

Star-Studded Cast and Diverse Filming Locations

The film boasts a talented ensemble, including Daniel Webber (“Billy The Kid”), Bart Edwards (“The Witcher”), Robert Maaser (“Ballerina”), and Masha Basman portraying the iconic Lady Death. Principal photography is set to start in early 2026 across Australia and Bulgaria.

Production Houses and Executive Team

“Dogs of War” is being produced by Blake Northfield and Michelle Krumm under Bronte Studios, with Bronte also handling sales across Australia, New Zealand, and North America. Executive producers include Todd Brown, Calum Gray, and Max Pirkis representing Architect. The project will feature advanced visual effects crafted by Model Farm and Resin.

Exciting Upcoming Releases and Collaborations

The film’s launch aligns with the U.S. release of Roache-Turner’s previous film, “Beast of War,” slated for October 10th. Collaborating with seasoned Heads of Department (HODs), including cinematographer Mark Wareham and costume designer Tracey Rose Sparke, Roache-Turner continues to innovate in the genre.

Director’s Vision and Unique Storytelling Approach

Director Kiah Roache-Turner aims to merge historical facts with high-concept horror elements, focusing on characters like the storied sniper Lady Death. He believes her epic battles resonate with contemporary audiences. Speaking about his vision, Roache-Turner expressed, “With ‘Dogs Of War,’ I wanted to explore a different corner of WWII storytelling, tapping into both historical figures and genre innovations.”

Architect’s Commitment to Innovative Filmmaking

Calum Gray of Architect remarked on the studio’s decision to back “Dogs of War,” highlighting Roache-Turner’s skillful creature creation in his previous works. Gray noted, “Kiah’s creature work in ‘Sting’ and ‘Beast of War’ is hugely impressive, and we’re thrilled to represent such a compelling fusion of mythology and survival horror.”
