Hallmark Media Expands Partnership with Netflix in Exclusive Output Deal

Hallmark Media and Netflix Expand Global Content Partnership

Hallmark’s Strategic Expansion with Netflix

Hallmark Media and Netflix have announced an exciting expansion of their partnership, enhancing content offerings for Netflix users both in the U.S. and globally. This new agreement significantly broadens last year’s deal, which initially introduced 10 Hallmark Christmas movies to Netflix’s platform.

New Series and Movies Coming Soon

Among the recent additions, U.S. subscribers will gain access to the first two seasons of Hallmark’s series The Way Home starting next month. The third season will premiere in February 2026, followed by season four later that year after featuring on Hallmark Channel and Hallmark+. Meanwhile, a selection of Valentine’s Day-themed films, including An Unexpected Valentine, Sisterhood, Inc., The Royal We, Hats Off to Love, and Love in the Clouds, will debut on Netflix U.S. in January 2026.

Expanding Global Reach Through Netflix

Hallmark Media is leveraging Netflix’s global platform to introduce its beloved Christmas movies to new markets outside the U.S. Starting in November and continuing through January, international viewers will enjoy holiday classics such as Haul Out the Holly, Haul Out the Holly: Lit Up, All I Need for Christmas, Christmas Under the Lights, and Our Holiday Story.

Benefits of the Expanded Partnership

Jesse Wallace, the senior VP and head of distribution at Hallmark Media, expressed satisfaction with the previous deal’s impact on both Hallmark Channel and Hallmark+. “We saw significant growth in linear viewership and subscriber engagement on Hallmark+ post-deal,” Wallace remarked. “This strategic agreement will further fuel our linear and SVOD businesses, reaching fans globally and promoting our extensive content library.”

The collaboration underscores Hallmark’s commitment to spreading joy and positivity worldwide through its popular films and series. “The unmatched reach of Netflix provides an incredible platform to expose our content to a broader audience,” Wallace added. “This new agreement not only serves our current fans but attracts new viewers to both our linear channels and Hallmark+.”

Anticipated Developments in 2026

The partnership’s future promises even greater engagement, with strategic releases planned over the coming years. By aligning content launches across platforms, Hallmark aims to optimize viewer engagement and subscription growth, further solidifying its partnership with Netflix as a key tool in global distribution efforts.
