A New Chapter for Disney Cruise Line: Expanding the Fleet with Seven New Ships

Upcoming Additions to the Disney Cruise Line Fleet

Disney Cruise Line is set to significantly enhance its offerings with the introduction of seven new ships over the next six years. This expansion will elevate its fleet from six to thirteen vessels by 2031. The current fleet comprises six ships: Disney Magic (1998), Disney Wonder (1999), Disney Dream (2011), Disney Fantasy (2012), Disney Wish (2022), and Disney Treasure (2024). Here’s a glimpse into what the future holds for Disney Cruise Line enthusiasts.

Disney Destiny: A Theme of Heroes and Villains

Launching in 2025, Disney Destiny will be the third ship in the Wish Class, embodying a captivating theme of heroes and villains. Returning features loved by guests include the Haunted Mansion Parlor, Worlds of Marvel restaurant, and the Aqua Mouse attraction at sea. Guests can also explore fresh experiences such as the Doctor Strange-themed Sanctum lounge, DeVil’s piano bar, and the Pride Lands: Feast of The Lion King dinner show.

Moreover, Disney Destiny will debut an all-new Broadway-style musical production of “Hercules,” featuring innovative staging, impressive puppetry, and a never-before-heard song, “Shooting Star.” Its maiden voyage is set for November 20, 2025, departing from Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., with itineraries including 4- and 5-night cruises to The Bahamas and Western Caribbean.

Disney Adventure: An Immersive Experience

Scheduled to make its maiden voyage on March 10, 2026, Disney Adventure promises a unique experience with seven themed zones, from Disney fairytales to thrilling Marvel attractions. Guests can look forward to:

  • Town Square, inspired by Disney Fairytales
  • Disney Imagination Garden featuring live performances
  • Marvel Landing with three new Avengers-themed rides
  • Toy Story Place, a kid-friendly water play zone
  • Wayfinder Bay, themed to “Moana”
  • San Fransokyo Street with interactive games and cinemas
  • Disney Discovery Reef, inspired by various beloved Disney films

The ship introduces a new Broadway-style musical based on “WALL-E” and the excitement of the Ironcycle Test Run roller coaster. Disney Adventure will be based in Singapore, offering three- and four-night round-trip cruises.

Future Vessels and Collaborations

A uniquely designed ninth vessel is underway, in collaboration with Oriental Land Company, known for operating Tokyo Disney Resort. This ship could resemble the Disney Wish and is scheduled for launch around 2028 or 2029, with short cruises planned around Tokyo.

In addition to this, Disney Cruise Line aims to introduce four smaller ships by 2031, further expanding its reach and options for travelers, although details about these vessels remain under wraps.
