The much-anticipated comedy series I Kill The Bear, created by Jared Keeso of Letterkenny fame, has officially started production in Sudbury, Ontario, Canada. The series boasts a remarkable cast, including Nickelback’s frontman Chad Kroeger, Adrian Holmes from Bel-Air, Georges St-Pierre of Captain America: The Winter Soldier, and Kristin Kreuk of Smallville fame, among others. This ensemble will bring the show’s unique humor to life in a six-episode run, scheduled for release on Crave in 2026.
Plot and Production Details
I Kill The Bear presents a laughter-filled narrative about a family of bear wranglers working in the film industry. As they approach their centennial anniversary in the business, they decide to make the current film their swan song. This fresh comedic perspective offers ample space for captivating storytelling.
The series is produced by New Metric Media in cooperation with Play Fun Games, with Keeso taking on multiple roles as creator, writer, star, and executive producer. Story development involves Keeso and producer Trevor Risk, while Dan and Sean Skene direct and executive produce. Mark Montefiore and Kara Haflidson serve as executive producers, with Max Wolfond as supervising producer for New Metric Media, who is also handling international distribution.
