Bobbi Althoff Speaks Out on Immigration Issues After ICE Arrests Close Friend

California Influencer Speaks Out Against Immigration Policies Amid Friend’s Arrest

Social Media Influencer Challenges Immigration Policies

ADELANDO, Calif. — Bobbi Althoff, a prominent social media influencer with over 8.2 million followers on TikTok and 3.7 million on Instagram, is using her platform to challenge the U.S. immigration policies under the Trump administration. This stance comes following the arrest of a close family friend by federal agents.

Despite facing a loss of followers, Althoff remains vocal, urging other celebrities and influencers to join her in speaking out. “I don’t want to be on the wrong side of history,” said Althoff outside the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) facility in Adelanto, where her friend is detained. “What’s happening right now, especially with immigration, is so wrong.”

Arrest of Felix Morales Gomez Sparks Controversy

Felix Morales Gomez, a lifelong acquaintance of Althoff, arrived in the U.S. in 2004. Despite lacking legal status, Gomez has had no criminal convictions and is considered a hardworking individual supporting his family. He was detained by ICE agents in a Corona Home Depot parking lot, where he and other day laborers were seeking work.

“You’re taking hardworking people away, who are not criminals,” Althoff stated. “There’s no justification for what they’re doing to these people.” Althoff, together with Morales Gomez’s niece and church pastor, has scheduled a visit with him at the ICE facility.

Community Reaction and Personal Reflection

Ermelinda Estevan, Morales Gomez’s niece, expressed her concerns about potential deportation. “If the government wants him out, he’ll understand and go peacefully, as he’s never done harm to this country or anyone,” Estevan added.

Althoff began her journey as a social media influencer during the pandemic with viral content, after which she ventured into political discourse amid the Israeli-Hamas conflict. Despite losing followers, her resolve is unchanged.

“I voted for Trump as an 18-year-old out of naivety,” Althoff admitted. “People don’t realize the impact on families being torn apart. If I can change even one person’s mind, it’s a start.”
