Trisha Paytas Joins Broadway’s Beetlejuice for Limited Engagement

Popular social media influencer Trisha Paytas is set to make her Broadway debut as Maxine Dean in the musical production of Beetlejuice. The show will run from November 4 to November 23 at the historic Palace Theatre in New York City. Paytas, known for her confessional-style video blogs and lively online presence, will temporarily take over the role from Sharone Sayegh, who will continue her portrayal of Juno during Paytas’s tenure. Sayegh is scheduled to resume the role of Maxine Dean/Juno on November 25.

In Beetlejuice, Paytas assumes the role of Maxine Dean, a character who is the wife of Maxie Dean, the Chairman of Botco Industries. The plot unfolds as the Deetzes invite them for dinner, leading to a series of comedic and supernatural events. Paytas’s involvement in the show is anticipated to attract her substantial social media following, which includes 1.9 million Instagram followers and an impressive 10.9 million on TikTok.

The Return of Beetlejuice to Broadway

Beetlejuice the Musical kicked off its third Broadway run at the Palace Theatre on October 8. This Tim Burton-inspired musical comes back to the Main Stem after concluding its first national tour, which covered 88 cities over three years. The revival will continue on Broadway with a limited engagement until January 3, 2026.

About Beetlejuice the Musical

Adapted from the cult-classic 1988 film, Beetlejuice the Musical was initially brought to life by book writers Scott Brown and Anthony King, alongside songwriter Eddie Perfect. The show, directed by Tony Award winner Alex Timbers, earned eight Tony nominations, including Best Musical, during its 2019 Broadway premiere. Unfortunately, it closed due to the pandemic shutdown in 2020 but made a triumphant return in 2022.
