A motorist tragically lost his life during an attempted robbery on the Periférico’s lateral roads near the Electrificación street in the Daniel Garza neighborhood of the Miguel Hidalgo borough, Mexico City. The alarming incident highlights growing concerns over security in the area.
Details of the Attempted Robbery
Initial police reports indicate that the victim was driving a luxury SUV. He was attempting to merge from the central lanes to the lateral roads when intercepted by two armed men. The suspects purportedly followed the vehicle for several meters before the confrontation occurred.
After the motorist resisted the robbery attempt, the attackers fired at least three shots, causing the driver to lose control of the vehicle. He succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
