The alert follows closely on the heels of a highway incident near the base. US Highway 60-84 was previously closed for approximately eight hours due to a fiery collision between two trucks. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
The crash occurred when one of the trucks attempted to reverse onto U.S. Highway 60-84 from the Curry Road railroad crossing, an official told Emegypt. The absence of injuries was seen as a miraculous escape by the official.
