Big Brother Contestant George Gilbert Ousted for Using Unacceptable Language

Breaking: Big Brother Contestant Removed for Inappropriate Behavior
ITV Takes Action Against Unacceptable Language
A contestant from the popular reality show Big Brother has been removed due to repeated incidents involving inappropriate language and behavior. ITV, which broadcasts the show, confirmed that George Gilbert has been expelled from the Big Brother House with immediate effect, following several warnings.
Unseen Incidents Lead to Immediate Expulsion
George Gilbert, a 23-year-old actor-turned-parish councillor from Braintree, Essex, had previously been cautioned for his use of unacceptable language. While many of these instances were not aired, ITV emphasized that the behavior violated broadcast standards. On Monday’s episode, viewers saw Gilbert being reprimanded after mimicking a fellow housemate during a game of Truth or Dare.
Behavioral Standards and Housemate Training
In a statement, the show underscored that rules regarding language and behavior are thoroughly explained to all housemates before entering the competition. Additionally, ITV provides training focused on respect, dignity, and inclusion, aiming to maintain a respectful environment.
Formal Warning and Apology
During a recent episode, Big Brother confronted Gilbert, stating: “You then went on to mimic Sam using both noises that mocked the way Sam talks and body language that included limp wrists.” Gilbert acknowledged the reprimand and expressed remorse, stating, “We did have a conversation about this, I have apologized, I don’t want to make anyone feel like that.”
Eviction Plans Unaffected by Controversy
Despite this incident, the upcoming eviction on Friday will proceed as scheduled, with contestants Elsa, Cameron, and Richard still up for eviction. The removal of Gilbert has not impacted the planned format, according to ITV.
