Channel 4 has announced its highly anticipated Christmas drama for 2025, “Dear Father Christmas” (working title), led by the creative expertise of writer Mark Chappell, known for “See How They Run” and “Cold Feet.” The film is a collaborative effort between Big Talk Studios and South Shore, both subsidiaries of ITV Studios.
Plot Synopsis: A Journey of Belief and Discovery
The film follows 16-year-old Chris, portrayed by Lenny Rush, who remains a firm believer in Father Christmas. His skeptical father, played by James Buckley, feels it’s time to reveal the truth. However, Chris is not ready to relinquish his belief and embarks on a whimsical mission, accompanied by his cousin Holly, played by Ele Mackenzie.
Their adventure leads them into a world of intriguing theories and Christmas conspiracies. Along the way, they encounter a fascinating group of scientists and thinkers, including Stephen Fry, Hannah Fry, Dame Maggie Aderin-Pocock, and Jason Fox, who may have uncovered the secrets behind Santa’s mystifying feats.
