Hutch Common Ground Rallies for Change in Kansas

A nonpartisan group known as Hutch Common Ground is spearheading local efforts as part of the national “No Kings” protest in Hutchinson, Kansas. Scheduled to take place from 10 a.m. to noon at Crescent Park, the event promises a peaceful demonstration of community concerns.

Understanding the “No Kings” Protest Movement

The No Kings protest movement began on June 14, coinciding with Trump’s birthday and a military parade in Washington, D.C. It is a collective effort aimed at challenging the Trump administration’s policies and emphasizing the principle that power belongs to the populace.

Laura Shea, a Hutch Common Ground member, articulated the group’s mission, highlighting their commitment to organizing peaceful and action-oriented support to address democratic concerns.

Significant Growth of Hutch Common Ground

Hutch Common Ground has witnessed remarkable growth from an initial gathering of four individuals to over 550 participants in Hutchinson and Reno County. Over the past 25 weeks, the group has consistently held rallies, drawing attendees eager to voice their concerns.
