Penn State Unveils Retro End Zone Design for Homecoming Game

Penn State’s Nostalgic Touch for Generations of Greatness

Penn State football revealed a striking retro end zone design on its social media platforms, thrilling fans ahead of the upcoming “Generations of Greatness” game against Northwestern. The end zones at Beaver Stadium will showcase a vintage style during the Nittany Lions’ Homecoming clash with the Wildcats, reviving a beloved look from the late 20th century and early 2000s.

The Iconic Penn State Script Logo

The historically popular Penn State script logo, cherished across college football and among Happy Valley fans, will feature prominently in the refreshed design. This tribute is not new for the “Generations of Greatness” festivities, which have seen creative end zone art transformations since its inception in 2017.

History of End Zone Artistry

Back in 2017, during the inaugural “Generations of Greatness” event, the grounds crew introduced the diamond “PSU” symbol when Indiana visited Beaver Stadium. Since then, the stadium’s field has displayed various nostalgic designs, including the intricate script version of “Penn State.” This year, the retro-themed end zones will incorporate a fresh element to the throwback uniforms by adding a distinctive white collar.
