Flyers Celebrate Bernie Parent’s Legacy with Special No 1 Jersey Patch and Life Tribute

Bernie Parent made history in 1974 when he helped the Flyers become the first expansion team to win the Stanley Cup, followed by a second consecutive championship the following season. He received both the Conn Smythe and Vezina trophies during his illustrious career.

In his tenure with the Flyers, Parent played a total of 486 games, securing 231 wins and a franchise record of 50 shutouts. He first joined the Flyers through the 1967 NHL Expansion Draft after starting his career with the Boston Bruins.
After being traded to the Toronto Maple Leafs in the 1970-71 season, he returned to the Flyers before the 1973-74 season, where he ultimately spent the remainder of his NHL career. He was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1984.
