Toronto has officially inaugurated its newest cultural district, Little Iran, in North York, much to the delight of the local Iranian community. The launch event took place on a Saturday, with prominent figures including Toronto Mayor Olivia Chow, Councillor Lily Cheng, and MP Ali Ehsassi participating in the unveiling ceremony at Centre Park.

Celebrating Little Iran’s Launch

Mayor Chow expressed her gratitude towards the Iranian community during her speech. “Today is truly a historic day,” she stated, emphasizing the significance of the event over the Thanksgiving weekend.
