Indigenous-Owned Department Store Makes Historic Return to Toronto Mall Next Month
The first fully Indigenous-owned department store, aaniin Retail Inc., is set to return to the CF Toronto Eaton Centre this November. Covering over 6,000 square feet, the pop-up store will operate from November 1, 2023, to January 2026, offering a unique shopping experience centered around Indigenous culture and brands.

Success from Last Year
Last year’s inaugural pop-up at the Eaton Centre exceeded sales expectations and received national attention. The founder, Chelsee Pettit, an Anishinaabe entrepreneur, aims to leverage this success with a longer duration and increased showcasing of Indigenous talent.
