A significant mail theft operation in Canada has led to the arrest of eight Indian nationals, who now face potential deportation. The suspects are accused of stealing over $400,000 worth of mail from residential areas in Mississauga and Brampton.

The arrests were made by Peel Regional Police (PRP) following an extensive investigation. This probe, conducted in cooperation with Halton Regional Police and Canada Post, began in April due to numerous theft reports. Collaborative efforts with the Crown Attorney’s Office and Canada Border Services Agency are now exploring deportation for those involved.
Targeting Community Mailboxes
The accused allegedly coordinated to target both community and residential mailboxes. On September 8 and 9, search warrants were executed at various Mississauga addresses. These locations included Rhinebank Street, Brandon Gate Drive, Dwiggin Avenue, and Kittridge Drive.

- Jashandeep Jattana (23) from Mississauga
- Harman Singh (28) from Brampton
- Jasanpreet Singh (21) from Brampton
- Manroop Singh (23) from Brampton
- Rajbir Singh (26)
- Upinderjit Singh
All appeared at a bail hearing before the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton. PRP calls on the public to provide any further information that could aid the investigation.
