The Milwaukee Bucks have added Alex Antetokounmpo to their team on a two-way contract. This move brings Alex together with his brothers, Giannis and Thanasis Antetokounmpo. It is the first time in NBA history that three siblings have signed active contracts with the same team.

Alex Antetokounmpo Joins Milwaukee Bucks

Alex, who is 24 years old, is yet to play in a regular-season NBA game. He previously played overseas for various teams. His international experience includes stints with Lithuanian club Mazeikiai and Montenegrin club Podgorica. In Greece, he played for PAOK and Aris.

Performance in North America

Before his current contract, Alex played for the Wisconsin Herd during the 2023-24 season. The Herd is the G League affiliate of the Milwaukee Bucks. In 18 games, he averaged 5.7 points, 2.9 rebounds, and 0.6 assists in 21.2 minutes per game. His shooting percentage stood at 32.0% from the field.

Previous G League Experience

In the 2021-22 season, Alex played for Raptors 905, the G League team associated with the Toronto Raptors. This previous experience in the G League was part of his journey before joining the Bucks.

The addition of Alex to the Milwaukee Bucks not only strengthens the Antetokounmpo presence on the team but also marks a unique milestone in NBA history. For the first time, three brothers will share the court as active roster members of the same team, a testament to the family’s basketball legacy.
