The project spans eight acres and features several key components designed to revitalize the area. A recent report prepared for Liverpool City Council outlines the intentions for this significant regeneration initiative, which is set to be discussed by the council cabinet next week.

• 25,000 sq ft Destination Arena: A central attraction within the scheme.
• Residential Development: An increase to 2,750 homes, significantly surpassing the original 1,200 units suggested in earlier plans.
• Commercial Spaces: There will be 200,000 sq ft of grade A office space and 250,000 sq ft dedicated to retail, leisure, and dining options.
• Hotel Facilities: The project includes plans for 400 hotel rooms, contributing to the local tourism appeal.

To facilitate this ambitious plan, Liverpool City Council seeks cabinet approval for a land deal involving a parcel off Great Howard Street. This is essential to minimize any potential disruptions to the broader development.

Hugh Frost, founder of Beetham, expressed optimism regarding the project’s progress. “We’re pleased with the council’s continued support and guidance for the project. This transaction, if approved, is another piece of the jigsaw,” he stated.

Initially, the arena was reported to be 250,000 sq ft, but subsequent clarifications indicate it will actually cover approximately 25,000 sq ft. The council’s report will clarify these details as preparations for a formal submission proceed.
