Join the Movement as Drop Defenders Take Action

This weekend, young residents of Geelong have the opportunity to become Drop Defenders at the Royal Geelong Show. The event will showcase the significance of water conservation through interactive exhibits organized by Barwon Water.

Engaging Activities for Water Conservation

Barwon Water has prepared a pavilion filled with exciting installations and engaging activities. These endeavors are designed to educate children and families about the critical importance of saving water in light of the region’s ongoing dry conditions.

Interactive Games and Learning Opportunities

A key feature of the pavilion will be a Bop It-style game. This fun activity encourages kids to discover innovative ways to save water. Elisa Hunter, the general manager of customers, community, and strategy, expressed enthusiasm for this year’s offerings.

  • Free games and displays
  • Face painting for children
  • Educational activities for all ages

Hunter emphasized the pavilion’s role in a broader campaign aimed at fostering a culture of water conservation within the community. She noted, “There are playful and entertaining methods for both kids and adults to understand the value of water.”

Designed by Renowned Creatives

The pavilion features contributions from three well-known designers, ensuring a vibrant and creative atmosphere. The concept was developed collaboratively by:

  • P’Co Design’s Pete Wilson
  • Aeroplane Workshop’s Jamie Ferguson
  • Artist Callum Preston

Attendees can expect a dynamic atmosphere throughout the duration of the show.
