Blackhawks’ Foligno Steps Away for Daughter’s Crucial Heart Surgery

Nick Foligno, captain of the Chicago Blackhawks, has taken a leave of absence to support his family. His daughter, Milana, is undergoing critical follow-up surgery for her congenital heart condition. This decision highlights the importance of family in challenging times.
Milana’s Health Journey
Milana recently celebrated her 12th birthday on Tuesday. She has faced numerous heart-related challenges since birth, including a critical procedure when she was just three weeks old. This initial surgery involved inserting an expandable stent.

Nick Foligno’s Professional Career
Nick Foligno was drafted in the first round (28th overall) by the Ottawa Senators in the 2006 NHL Draft. Throughout his career, he has played for several teams including:
