TWICE, a popular K-pop girl group, recently became the second K-Pop act to perform at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show on October 15. During the event, they presented renditions of “Strategy” and “This Is For,” captivating audiences alongside prominent models like Quen Blackwell.

Backlash Over Live Performance

Despite the polished staging, TWICE faced criticism for their live vocals. Many online comments suggested the singing detracted from the models’ runway appearance. Explaining her situation, Tzuyu mentioned practicing diligently with her vocal coach before traveling to New York. Unfortunately, she encountered worsening throat issues upon arrival.

Tzuyu shared, “During rehearsal, I could still make sounds, but it got much worse during the main performance.” Despite trying remedies like honey tea, her throat remained hoarse, affecting her ability to sing.
