MGM+ Gives Green Light to Bosch Prequel Series Start of Watch

MGM+ has approved a new prequel series, Bosch: Start of Watch, expanding the popular Bosch universe on Amazon. The series will uncover the formative years of the iconic detective Harry Bosch, previously depicted by Titus Welliver.
Starring Cameron Monaghan and Omari Hardwick
In the upcoming Bosch prequel, Cameron Monaghan will portray the young Harry Bosch. Joining him is Omari Hardwick as Eli Bridges, Bosch’s seasoned training officer. While Bridges is a new addition, the character adds depth to the prequel.
Exploring the Origins in 1991 Los Angeles
Bosch: Start of Watch revisits the early 1990s in Los Angeles, spotlighting a then-novice cop, 26-year-old Harry Bosch. The series confronts racial tension, gang violence, and the LAPD’s challenges during these tumultuous times. A high-profile heist envelops Bosch in a deeper web of corruption.
