- Casualties:
- 1 fatality (Syrian citizen)

Background of Ongoing Conflict
The Israeli military stated that the targeted area was used for storing machinery intended for Hezbollah, the militant group. Since the conclusion of the Israel-Hezbollah conflict in November 2023, Israel has conducted nearly daily airstrikes, leading to numerous civilian casualties and widespread destruction.
UN human rights chief Volker Türk recently expressed concerns over the ongoing violence and called for efforts to establish lasting peace in Lebanon. According to UN reports, 103 civilians were confirmed killed in Lebanon since the ceasefire was enacted.
The Impact of the Conflict
The recent Israel-Hezbollah war, which ignited on October 8, 2023, resulted in over 4,000 deaths in Lebanon, including hundreds of civilians. The conflict also inflicted an estimated $11 billion in damages to infrastructure, as reported by the World Bank. In Israel, the war claimed 127 lives, with 80 being military personnel.
As tensions persist in the region, the escalating violence raises urgent questions regarding the future stability of Lebanon and its people.
