Scotland’s Cameron Adam Secures DP World Tour Card Through Global Amateur Pathway

Scotland’s Cameron Adam has secured his DP World Tour card for 2026, becoming the second player ever to achieve this through the Global Amateur Pathway Ranking. This pathway awards one spot on the DP World Tour to the top non-collegiate male amateur ranked within the top 20 of the World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR).

Pathway to Success

The Global Amateur Pathway previously granted its inaugural card to China’s Wenyi Ding, who successfully retained his status during a commendable rookie season. Adam’s rise in the WAGR was a nail-biting experience. He finished in 20th place, ensuring his entry to the prestigious tour.

Reflecting on his journey, Adam expressed his elation. “Over the moon is probably a good way to put how I feel about the year,” he stated. He recalled a tough period about 13 months ago when he struggled with his game. “It’s all kind of nuts and definitely something that I’m sitting back and taking in,” he added.

Adam’s anticipation for the upcoming season is palpable. He aims to build on his experience after achieving a top-20 finish at the British Masters, held at The Belfry. He emphasized the importance of competing against seasoned players and establishing his confidence for the challenges ahead.

“I got a wee taste at The Belfry, which was so important, and I’m extremely grateful for that,” Adam noted. “The big goal for me is to qualify for the Genesis Scottish Open. It’s my home event and close to my hometown, so that’s the one I’m really looking forward to.”
