Tang Series Recall
- Units Affected: 44,535 units of the Tang series vehicles.
- Production Dates: These vehicles were manufactured between March 28, 2015, and July 28, 2017.
- Issue: A critical component design failure may lead to malfunctioning of the active discharge function in the drive motor controller.
- Potential Risk: Circuit board damage and failure of the vehicle’s pure electric drive mode could pose safety hazards.
- Remedy: Dealers will provide software updates at no cost, altering the discharge method to mitigate risks.
Yuan Pro Recall
- Units Affected: 71,248 units of the Yuan Pro vehicles.
- Production Dates: These vehicles were produced between February 6, 2021, and August 5, 2022.
- Issue: Manufacturing defects may have led to improper sealing of the power battery gasket.
- Potential Risk: Ingress of water during high-speed travel may impair battery insulation and reduce power output, posing safety risks.
- Remedy: Free application of a specialized sealant will be performed by dealers to enhance waterproof functionality.

As a result of the recall announcement, BYD’s stock is currently trading at HKD 106.1, reflecting a decrease of 1.39%. The trading volume reached 5.0766 million shares, amounting to HKD 543 million.
