Apple teams up with Formula 1 as new broadcast partner in the US

Formula 1 has entered a landmark five-year agreement with Apple, set to begin in 2026, making Apple the sole U.S. broadcast partner for the sport. This partnership aligns two globally renowned brands with a shared vision for innovation and excellence.
Apple and Formula 1: A Strategic Partnership
This collaboration builds on the success of “F1 The Movie,” an Apple Original Film that premiered globally in June. The film, critically acclaimed and grossing nearly $630 million worldwide, is set to be available for streaming on Apple TV starting December 12, 2025. Its unprecedented collaboration between Apple and the F1 community over three years resulted in an authentic racing experience for both new and long-time fans.
Reaching New Audiences
The Global F1 Fan Survey of 2025 highlighted a significant demographic shift among new American F1 fans, with 47% aged 18-24 and over half being female. This aligns with Apple’s ability to engage diverse audiences through its expansive ecosystem, providing a unique opportunity to broaden F1’s appeal among younger viewers.
Broadcast and Content Details
Apple TV will feature all Free Practice, Qualifying, Sprint sessions, and Grands Prix, with select races available for free via the Apple TV app. The F1 TV Premium service will remain accessible in the U.S. exclusively through an Apple TV subscription, available at no additional cost to subscribers. Apple plans to expand F1 content through Apple News, Apple Maps, Apple Music, Apple Sports, and Apple Fitness+.
