Ford recalls over 740000 vehicles due to camera display steering and seatbelt problems
Ford is recalling nearly 750,000 vehicles in response to several safety concerns, including issues with camera displays, steering, and seatbelts. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) confirmed these recalls on various dates throughout the year.
Camera Display Issues
Over 290,000 vehicles are involved in a recall due to a malfunction in the rearview camera display system. The affected models include certain 2020-2022 F-250 SD, F-350 SD, and F-450 SD trucks.
This malfunction can hinder the display of rearview images under certain lighting conditions, increasing the likelihood of accidents. Ford is offering free updates to the image processing module software to rectify this issue.

Steering Issues
Another significant recall affects 115,539 Super Duty trucks due to potential loss of steering control. In certain 2020-2021 F-250 SD, F-350 SD, and F-450 SD models, the upper shaft can detach from the steering column.
This defect poses a serious safety risk, as it may lead to loss of steering control. Ford dealers will inspect and repair the steering column components at no cost to the owners.
