Marinedi Expands in Cagliari Adding 300 New Boat Berths in the Heart of the Port

Marinedi, a leading name in Mediterranean marinas, recently announced its plans to expand in Cagliari. This new project will add 300 boat berths in the historic Su Siccu – Molo Sant’Elmo area of the port, significantly enhancing the region’s nautical offerings. The development aims to rejuvenate the waterfront and replace a previous concession that has expired.
Details of the Expansion
The project includes the installation of approximately 300 new berths catered for vessels of various sizes. The CEO of Marinedi, Renato Marconi, highlighted the importance of this venture. He stated that the existing shipyards will be relocated to an industrial port nearby, thus making room for a modern and functional marina.
Modern Amenities and Community Spaces
The upgraded marina will not only focus on advanced nautical services but will also feature communal spaces. Planned amenities include:
- A restaurant for dining options
- Leisure areas for public gatherings
- Strategically located access points to enhance the local nightlife along the seafront
A Strategic Connection in Southern Sardinia
With this development, Marinedi aims to solidify its presence in southern Sardinia. This new marina will serve as a strategic link between the existing marinas of Villasimius and Porto Teulada where Marinedi currently manages around 1,200 boat berths. Many customers who frequent these coastlines during summer prefer Cagliari for its accessibility in winter.
Goals and Vision
Marinedi’s objective is to provide a seamless network of docking areas. This approach will allow boaters to navigate the southern coast of Sardinia while enjoying consistent quality and safety standards. The brand’s strategy, encapsulated in the motto “one brand, one standard”, promises uniform services and transparent pricing across its network.
Promising Future for Marinedi
The year 2025 appears promising for Marinedi, with expected growth rates between 5% and 15% for its entire port network. This growth reaffirms the company’s robust brand strength and effective operational strategy. In addition to the Cagliari marina project, Marinedi has also enhanced its growth with the acquisition of the majority stake in Marina di Brindisi and upgrades at Marina di Chiavari.
With these developments, Cagliari is poised to become a key hub within Marinedi’s Mediterranean network. The new marina will combine luxury, safety, and top-tier services, establishing Cagliari as a prime nautical and cultural destination.
