United in the Fight Against Racism

This weekend, Emegypt firmly supports the EFL’s Together Against Racism Campaign. Football is for everyone, and we pride ourselves on the inclusive environment at Kenilworth Road. However, despite efforts from clubs, players, and the EFL to combat racism, there were 141 reported incidents of racial abuse at EFL grounds last season, with many likely remaining unreported.
Continued Support Against Racism
Our player, Elijah Adebayo, faced online abuse last year. We stand firmly behind him and all players subjected to such disgraceful acts. Racism will not be tolerated in football or society.
Consequences of Racial Abuse
Those who engage in racist behavior face severe penalties. Offenders can receive up to five years in prison. Additionally, stadium bans can extend for a decade. Last season, 17 fans were banned from clubs, and 24 received police convictions related to racial abuse.

Commitment to Safe Matchday Experiences
Our customer charter emphasizes safe environments for all supporters, regardless of age, gender, ethnicity, disability, or sexual orientation. This commitment applies to both home and away games. If any discriminatory chants occur, the club will collaborate with police and football authorities to identify offenders.
Strict Sanctions for Offenders
Those found guilty of racist abuse will face harsh penalties, including football banning orders and potential criminal charges. We also caution against pitch invasions and the use of pyrotechnics, which could result in prosecution for individuals and fines for the club.
Promoting Inclusivity in Football
Bearing these issues in mind, we join other EFL clubs in the FA’s ‘Love Football. Protect the Game’ campaign. We encourage all fans to enjoy matches positively and respectfully.
Reporting Discriminatory Abuse
If you witness any discriminatory behavior during games, please report it to your nearest steward or email [email protected]. You can also use Kick It Out’s free reporting app available on the App Store and Google Play.
