Mihai Stoica Criticizes LPF Ahead of Metaloglobus Match Calling It a Lack of Respect

Mihai Stoica, the General Director of FCSB, has voiced strong criticism regarding the Romanian Professional Football League (LPF) ahead of his team’s upcoming match against Metaloglobus. His remarks highlight a concerning issue about the quality of the Clinceni Arena, where Metaloglobus plays its home games.

Mihai Stoica’s Concerns About Clinceni Arena’s Conditions

Stoica expressed dissatisfaction with the decision by LPF to certify the Clinceni Arena for use despite ongoing concerns about its suitability. He stated that the stadium lacks essential facilities, which he believes demonstrates a significant lack of respect for the teams that compete there.

Multiple Teams Compete at Clinceni Arena

  • Metaloglobus
  • LPS Helmut Duckadam Clinceni (Liga 3 team)
  • Slobozia

Stoica highlighted that three teams share the ground, complicating the situation further. He pointed out that the LPF had previously overlooked the stadium’s shortcomings, even after previous complaints about its unfit conditions.

Remarks on Recent Improvements and Integrity of the Match

Despite his criticisms, Stoica acknowledged some improvements to the playing surface. However, he emphasized that the challenges were still evident, particularly regarding the functionality of the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) system at the venue.

He stated, “VAR cannot perform as effectively at this stadium when compared to others.” Previous matches have highlighted these problems, with teams like Dinamo and Rapid securing victories against Metaloglobus there.

Looking forward, Stoica is focused on securing the three points from the upcoming match. He expressed confidence in his team’s recent training performances, saying, “We must win there. Last season, we drew with Slobozia, while others managed an easy victory.”

As the weekend approaches, all eyes will be on the Clinceni Arena to see if FCSB can capitalize on their opportunity and if Stoica’s criticisms will lead to any changes in how the LPF manages stadium certifications in the future.
