Introducing Marvel Rivals Mode Featuring Iconic Marvel Zombies
Marvel Rivals is set to introduce a highly anticipated Player vs. Environment (PvE) mode titled “Marvel Zombies” nearly a year after its initial launch. This new mode is a collaboration with Marvel Animation, inspired by the popular Disney+ animated series of the same name.
Gameplay Features of Marvel Zombies Mode
In this exciting mode, teams of four players will battle against relentless waves of undead foes. Players can choose from several iconic characters:
- Thor
- Magik
- Punisher
- Jeff the Shark
- Blade
Each character comes equipped with unique buffs and abilities tailored specifically for the zombie-hunting experience. Players will also face two significant bosses, including Zombie Namor and Scarlet Witch in her “Queen of the Dead” form, both drawn from the animated series.
Zombie Mode Context and Hype
The addition of zombies taps into a trend once popular in major video games. Although the zombie theme has seen a decline, its return in Marvel Rivals is expected to rejuvenate interest among fans and players alike. Currently, NetEase has not disclosed details about potential rewards or progression systems related to this new mode.
