Cork GAA Reschedules Páirc Uí Chaoimh Double-Header Due to Weather-Induced Fixture Changes

The Cork County Board has announced the postponement of Saturday’s finals double-header at Páirc Uí Chaoimh. This decision arises from concerns about participant and spectator safety due to adverse weather conditions.

Postponement Details

The County Competitions Control Committee (CCC) made the decision following a meeting. Initially, the Co-Op Superstores Intermediate A and Senior A Hurling Finals were rescheduled to accommodate weather forecasts. A status orange rain warning prompted further adjustments to the schedule, leading to the postponement.

New Schedule for Hurling Finals

The rearranged dates for the finals are set for Saturday, October 25. The updated lineup at SuperValu Páirc Uí Chaoimh is as follows:

  • 3 PM: PJFC Final – Buttevant vs St. Nick’s
  • 5 PM: IAHC Final – Aghabullogue vs Bandon
  • 7 PM: SAHC Final – Bride Rovers vs Castlelyons

Additional Finals Scheduled

In addition to the rearranged finals on Saturday, Páirc Uí Chaoimh will host more matches the following day. Notably, the Premier Senior Hurling Final will see Sarsfields face Midleton.

These adjustments aim to ensure a safe environment for all attendees while maintaining the integrity of the tournament. Fans are urged to stay updated on any further changes.
