According to Andrew Kienzle, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Moon, heavy showers originating from eastern Ohio are projected to arrive in Allegheny County around 3 p.m. Wind gusts this morning already ranged between 30 to 45 mph.

  • Wind gusts could peak at 50 mph between 3 and 4:30 p.m.
  • A lull in wind intensity is expected around 4:30 to 5 p.m.
  • Gusts are anticipated to increase again by 7 or 8 p.m.
