Condon Recognized with Preseason AP All-America Honors

In a notable achievement, Florida Gators junior Alex Condon has earned a spot on the preseason Associated Press All-America team, as announced by the AP on Monday. Condon, who is recognized as the Gators’ top returning scorer, averaged 10.6 points per game last season.
Condon’s Honors and Achievements
Alongside his AP All-America recognition, Condon has also been selected for the first-team All-SEC and the Blue Ribbon Yearbook first-team All-America honors this preseason. The native of Perth, Australia, demonstrated his skills last season with seven double-doubles, contributing significantly to the Gators’ national championship run.
Record-Breaking Performance
During the 2024-25 season, Condon recorded 103 offensive rebounds, ranking as the third-highest in Florida’s single-season history. This accomplishment underscores his importance to the team.

- Walter Clayton Jr. is the only prior Florida player to earn first-team All-America honors, achieving this in the 2024-25 season.
- Joakim Noah was recognized in the preseason AP All-America lineup just before the 2006-07 season.
Florida’s Upcoming Season
The No. 3-ranked Florida Gators are set to begin their 2025-26 campaign on November 3, facing 13th-ranked Arizona in the Hall of Fame Series in Las Vegas. Following this, they will host their first home game on November 6 at 8 p.m. against North Florida.
