Obituary of Lily Keegan Formerly Foley from Mullingar Westmeath
Elizabeth (Lily) Keegan, formerly known as Foley, passed away on October 18, 2025, in Mullingar, Westmeath. She was 93 years old and spent her final days surrounded by her loving family at Rose Lodge Nursing Home in Killucan.
Family and Legacy
Lily was predeceased by her husband Tom and is survived by her son Peter and daughter Fionnualla. She leaves behind a cherished legacy, including her adored grandchildren Isabel, Lauren, Emma, and Sarah, as well as great-grandchildren Romy and Eli.
Her extended family includes brother Joe in the USA, sister Teresa Daly, daughter-in-law Anna, and son-in-law Declan. Lily is remembered fondly by her sisters-in-law Ann Foley, Noreen Keegan, and Sr. May Keegan, along with numerous nephews, nieces, relatives, and friends.
Funeral Arrangements
The Funeral Mass for Lily Keegan will occur at St. Joseph’s Church in Rathwire (N91 XVA8) on Tuesday, October 21, at 11:00 AM. Following the mass, she will be laid to rest at Rathwire Cemetery.
For those unable to attend, the service will be broadcast live on the church’s webcam. Family flowers are requested, with donations welcomed for the Alzheimer Society of Ireland.
Lily’s gentle spirit will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew her.
