Canadiens Boost Roster with AHL Stars Joshua Roy and Marc Del Gaizo

The Montreal Canadiens have made roster changes by recalling forward Joshua Roy and defenceman Marc Del Gaizo from the AHL’s Laval Rocket. In a corresponding move, forward Owen Beck has been loaned to Laval.
Details on Joshua Roy
Joshua Roy, a 22-year-old forward, has had a brief stint with the Canadiens. He has played 35 games over the last two seasons, scoring six goals and providing five assists. This season, he has excelled with the Rocket, accumulating four points in just four games, including three goals and one assist.
Marc Del Gaizo’s NHL Debut
Marc Del Gaizo, a 26-year-old defenceman, is set to make his debut with the Canadiens. He has a total of 55 NHL games under his belt, all played with the Nashville Predators over the past two seasons. During that time, he recorded two goals and ten assists. This season, Del Gaizo has not scored while playing with Laval.
Owen Beck’s Loan to Laval
Owen Beck, another forward for the Canadiens, has been loaned to Laval. The 22-year-old was a second-round pick in 2022. He has played two games with the Canadiens, averaging eight minutes and 21 seconds on the ice, without recording a point. Throughout his 13 games with Montreal, he has managed one assist and is still searching for his first NHL goal.
Looking Ahead
The Canadiens are preparing for their next game on Wednesday against the Calgary Flames. This match will offer an opportunity for Roy and potentially Del Gaizo to contribute to the team’s efforts.
