Analyst Calls on Jerry Jones to Trade Picks for Maxx Crosby to Boost Dak Prescott’s Cowboys in High-Flying Offense

The Dallas Cowboys showcased their offensive power on Sunday, achieving a resounding 44-22 victory against the Washington Commanders. Quarterback Dak Prescott led the charge, completing 21 of 30 passes for 264 yards and throwing three touchdowns. Following this impressive performance, NFL analyst Voch Lomardi suggested that team owner Jerry Jones should contemplate a trade for Raiders pass rusher Maxx Crosby, even if it requires giving up two first-round picks. Lombardi emphasized his perspective with a bold tweet, saying, “Eff them picks. Go get Maxx. This offense too hot.”

Recent Team Changes and Performance

This season, Jerry Jones and the Cowboys made significant roster changes. Notably, they traded star linebacker Micah Parsons to the Green Bay Packers in exchange for defensive tackle Kenny Clark and two first-round picks. Additionally, they acquired wide receiver George Pickens from the Pittsburgh Steelers. This season, Pickens has proven to be instrumental, recording 607 receiving yards and six touchdowns in seven games.

With the latest victory, the Cowboys’ record improved to 3-3-1, placing them second in the NFC East. Despite their recent successes, acquiring Maxx Crosby before the trade deadline on November 4 poses a challenge. Crosby, a four-time Pro Bowler, has spent his entire career with the Raiders and recently signed a three-year contract extension worth $106.5 million. However, he suffered an injury during a 31-0 loss to the Chiefs.

Highlighting Dak Prescott’s Accomplishments

Following the game, Ed Werder, another NFL analyst, noted a remarkable achievement by Dak Prescott. He holds a 20-2 record at home in divisional games, the best among quarterbacks with at least 15 starts since the 1970 NFL Merger. Prescott has also won 17 consecutive home games against NFC East teams, a record only matched by NFL legends Tom Brady and Brett Favre.

In his post-game remarks, Prescott praised his teammates for their exceptional play. He noted, “It was great. It was explosive. It was fun. Our standard expectations for ourselves are very high. We have playmakers and a great offensive line, and it shows in our performance.”

Upcoming Matchup

The Cowboys look ahead to their next challenge against the Denver Broncos on October 26. Kickoff is scheduled for 4:25 PM ET.
