The Angels previously operated under Ron Washington for two seasons. Washington had surgery during the past season, leading to Ray Montgomery taking over as interim manager. However, neither Washington nor Montgomery will remain with the coaching staff as the team seeks a fresh direction.
The Angels have opened the door for Montgomery to stay within the organization in a different capacity. Despite Washington’s interest in returning, the organization is moving forward with new candidates.
Kurt Suzuki’s Background
