Meteorological Update: Slight Rise in Temperature and Dense Morning Fog on Agricultural and Highways Today
The General Authority for Meteorology has issued a report detailing today’s weather forecast for Wednesday, October 22. A slight rise in temperatures is expected across most regions of the country.
Meteorological Update: Slight Rise in Temperature and Dense Morning Fog
This weather pattern will present mild to cool temperatures during early morning, transitioning to hot conditions during the day. Regions in southern Upper Egypt will experience extreme heat, while evening temperatures are likely to moderate, becoming cooler towards nightfall.
Morning Fog and Visibility Issues
Dense fog will form during the early morning hours, between 4 AM and 8 AM. This phenomenon will particularly affect agricultural paths, highways, and areas near bodies of water in:
- Greater Cairo
- North Coast
- Delta Region
- Canal Cities
- Central Sinai
The fog could be intense at times, reducing horizontal visibility significantly. Additionally, there may be scattered low clouds over regions stretching from northern areas to Cairo and the Canal cities, potentially leading to light, insignificant drizzle in some spots.
Weather Conditions and Wind Activity
The meteorological authority noted occasional wind activity in Greater Cairo, contributing to a more comfortable atmosphere during both daytime and late-night hours. Overall, stable weather conditions are anticipated, maintaining the typical mildness of autumn.
Expected Temperature Ranges
The forecasted temperatures for today in various governorates are as follows:
| Location | Max Temperature (°C) | Min Temperature (°C) |
|---|---|---|
| Greater Cairo | 33 | 19 |
| Delta Region | 32 | 18 |
| Northwest Coast | 31 | 19 |
| Northeast Coast | 30 | 20 |
| South Sinai | 33 | 23 |
| North Upper Egypt | 34 | 17 |
| South Upper Egypt | 39 | 23 |
Residents are encouraged to remain aware of visibility conditions, especially during early morning hours, and to prepare accordingly for the variable temperatures throughout the day.
