Phoenix Extends Partnership with Drewitt’s Bulbs for Exciting Indigenous Round Collaboration

The Phoenix will face off against the Sydney Kings on October 23 at John Cain Arena for the annual Indigenous Round game. This year’s event is proudly supported by Drewitt’s Bulbs, which is extending its partnership with the basketball team.
Indigenous Round Details
This year, the Phoenix will showcase a special jersey designed by Dixon Patten, a prominent Victorian Indigenous artist. Patten’s design draws inspiration from songlines, featuring an eye-catching green color scheme.
Alongside the game, there will be a pre-game didgeridoo performance by GANGA GIRI. Additionally, a Welcome to Country will be presented by Thane Garbey, a member of the Wurundjeri community. The half-time entertainment will include a game featuring participants from the Wathaurong’s Karroong Kanyool Youth Hub.

Drewitt’s Bulbs, which has multiple farms and nurseries located in Wurundjeri country, plays a crucial role in this event. Tim Drewitt, the owner, expressed pride in their partnership with the Phoenix. He stated, “We take great pride in curating the land for native flora and fauna along with producing high-quality bulbs and plants.”
Drewitt emphasized the company’s commitment to community, land, and basketball, highlighting their enthusiasm for supporting the Indigenous Round.
