According to the Central Weather Bureau, on October 24, moisture levels will be high due to the northeastern monsoon. This will result in showers across Yilan and the Taipei area, with a possibility of heavy downpours.

  • Yilan and Greater Taipei: Thundershowers are expected throughout the day.
  • Taipei’s temperature: Between 21 to 26 degrees Celsius.
  • Other areas: Brief showers in Taoyuan and Hualien, with cloudy conditions prevailing elsewhere.

Temperature Analysis

Weather expert Lin Te-En has highlighted the post-frost season changes. The northern regions will experience cool and damp weather, while other areas will see a notable temperature drop in the morning and evening.

  • North and Northeast: Daytime temperatures around 22 to 26 degrees Celsius.
  • Daytime highs elsewhere: Range from 29 to 31 degrees Celsius.
  • Outlying islands: Following suit with cloudy skies and cooler temperatures.

Upcoming Weather Trends

Looking forward, the weather is expected to remain cool. The low temperatures in central and northern parts, including Yilan, Kinmen, and Matsu, may fall between 20 to 23 degrees Celsius. The southern region will also cool down to around 22 to 25 degrees Celsius.

Lin Te-En advises residents to prepare for fluctuating temperatures. It is crucial to dress warmly when going outside to avoid catching a cold, as weather variations are likely to continue.
