The AI editing features can be accessed in the “Restyle” menu. Users can tap the paintbrush icon to begin editing their Stories. Options include:
- Adding elements to images
- Removing existing components
- Changing aspects of the photos or videos
For example, users can request changes like altering hair color or inserting a scenic sunset background. Additionally, preset effects are available to enhance the look of images. Users can apply styles such as:
- Add sunglasses or a biker jacket
- Apply a watercolor effect
Videos can also be creatively altered, with effects like snowfall or flames being added to enhance visual appeal.
Terms of Service and User Privacy
While utilizing these AI features, users must agree to Meta’s AI Terms of Service. These terms grant Meta permission to analyze media and facial features for content modification. Uploading images allows Meta to summarize their contents and generate new related content.
Continuing AI Innovations in Meta
Meta remains committed to advancing its AI capabilities. Recently, they tested the “Write with Meta AI” feature, assisting users in crafting engaging comments for their posts. They also launched a new AI-generated video feed named “Vibes” on the Meta AI app.
The response to these AI innovations has been significant. As of October 17, data from Similarweb indicates that the app’s daily active users surged to 2.7 million from about 775,000 just four weeks earlier.
New Parental Control Features
In response to parental concerns, Meta introduced enhanced parental control options earlier this month. These features allow parents to disable chats with AI characters and monitor the topics discussed by their teens with the Meta AI chatbot.
