Christmas Bonus for Long-term Recipients

In addition to the early payments, the recent budget announcement confirmed that a Christmas Bonus will be issued this year. This bonus will benefit approximately 1.5 million long-term social welfare recipients.

Bonus Rate: Recipients will receive a bonus equivalent to 100% of their weekly payment.
Total Expenditure: The estimated cost of the bonus is €370 million.
Payment Timing: Although the specific date is pending, the bonus is expected to be distributed in the first week of December.
