During an intimate Q&A, Anderson discussed her commitment to maintaining independence in business. She shared, “It’s too important to hand off. We can take creative risks others might not—like investing in new biodegradable packaging.” Anderson emphasized the meaningful choices that shape Sonsie.

A Family Affair

The event was also a family gathering, featuring Anderson’s sons, Dylan Jagger Lee and Brandon Thomas Lee. Dylan, who is co-owner of Sonsie, joined his mother to discuss their family-run business. Anderson noted that the journey has been significant for her family. “It’s a challenge we took on as a family—which makes it all the more special,” she stated.

Personal Inspiration and Gardening

Outside of her public life, the 58-year-old actress leads a quieter existence at her newly renovated home, Arcady, located in Ladysmith, Canada. Anderson revealed in a recent interview that her home improvement journey helped her reset her life.

She described Arcady as “where everything came back together for me”. Gardening has played a pivotal role in her personal growth. “This whole new chapter? It started in the garden,” she said. Her love for gardening blossomed during the pandemic, inspired by experts such as Monty Don.

After seven seasons of cultivating her garden, Anderson regards it as a metaphor for life. “You can replant your garden every year, rotate your crops,” she reflected. Through her journey, the garden has become a source of pride and a symbol of renewal.
