FSU to Honor Natasha Howard by Retiring Jersey on Nov. 16

Florida State University (FSU) will honor Natasha Howard by retiring her jersey on November 16. The ceremony will take place after the women’s basketball game against Indiana at the Donald L. Tucker Civic Center, scheduled for 5 p.m.

Natasha Howard’s Legacy

Natasha Howard, a standout player for FSU from 2011 to 2014, is celebrated as one of the program’s greatest athletes. FSU head coach Brooke Wyckoff expressed pride in Howard’s accomplishments, stating, “She gave everything she had to this program.” Howard’s achievements are a testament to her hard work and dedication, as she has made a significant impact both at the collegiate and professional levels.

  • Two-time All-ACC First Team selection (2013, 2014)
  • All-Defensive Team honoree (2012, 2014)
  • Career points: 1,811, averaging 14.0 points per game
  • Career rebounds: 1,047 (school record)
  • Double-doubles: 41 (previously held school record)
  • Drafted fifth overall in 2014 WNBA Draft by Indiana Fever

Professional Career Highlights

In her professional career, Howard has excelled in the WNBA, boasting impressive statistics and numerous accolades. After the 2025 WNBA season, she averages 11.4 points and 6.6 rebounds per game. Howard’s veteran presence helped lead the Indiana Fever to a semifinal playoff appearance, where she started all 44 games, shooting 55 percent from the field.
