King and Gilmore Secure ACC Honors
Georgia Tech players Haynes King and Jy Gilmore received Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) honors for their outstanding performances in a recent victory against Duke. King was named the ACC Quarterback of the Week, while Gilmore earned the title of ACC Defensive Back of the Week.
Key Performances Lead Georgia Tech to Victory
In the Yellow Jackets’ 27-18 win, King demonstrated versatility, accumulating 325 total yards—205 passing and 120 rushing. His second-half performance was particularly notable, as he generated 240 yards and led the team to scores on four consecutive possessions. This turnaround shifted the team’s trajectory from a 10-7 deficit to a commanding 27-10 lead late in the game.

Upcoming Homecoming Game
Georgia Tech will host Syracuse for their homecoming game at Bobby Dodd Stadium at Hyundai Field on Saturday. The kickoff is scheduled for noon. This event will also celebrate the 10th anniversary of the famous “Miracle on Techwood Drive” victory against Florida State.
